Film in the Fridge is one of my favorite blogs that I check maybe once a week. Ashley is wonderful. Her quilts are so inspiring (in fact I am itching to have a go at her strip quilt and her scattering of hexagons) and modern. She contributed to the book “Block Party: The Modern Quilting Bee“, which is a great read and very informative. All in all I love to read her blog and drool over her quilts (and spare time!).
Here’s a link to her AMAZING(!!!) tutorial on using a spray adhesive to baste your quilt along with an incredible tip on lining up a pieced backing with the quilt top using notches in the batting.
I’m about to use the spray adhesive she recommends on my next quilt (pics coming soon!). It’s called 505 and can be used for machine quilting or hand quilting – which I’ll be trying my “hand” at.
I hope her blog helps/inspires you as much she has me!
Update: make sure you put a sheet under your quilt BEFORE you spray baste it.
